Experience the Healing Practice of Breathwork

Melissa Terese Young

Melissa Terese Young, founder of Breathwork Worldwide and a Breathwork facilitator, is happy to be bringing the practice to Richmond. Breathwork is a respiratory therapy rooted in Eastern cultures. It originated centuries ago as a yogic pranayama (breath control) practice. Breathwork is simple and gentle, which means anyone of any age can benefit. In a non-invasive way, the individual learns to breathe in a particular pattern while lying down comfortably.

“Using their own breath, individuals can effectively treat stress-related illness and depression, heal physical and emotional trauma and addiction and empower themselves to take an active role in their own treatment,” says Young. “It is a beautiful way for anyone seeking to improve their physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual health.”

Young is also certified in CranioSacral Therapy and reiki, and she integrates Q’ero shamanism, essential oils and hemp oil supplements into her therapeutic approaches.
