Spiritual Bypassing
Saturday, February 1, 10am-noon
Facilitator: Archana Pathak
$25 members/$50 general public
“Shadow” is a word for the side of us that’s not always so pretty. The side that evokes anger. The side we don’t always want to acknowledge. When our spiritual selves run away from the shadow and pull towards the light -- the easy stuff that makes us feel good -- that’s when spiritual bypassing occurs. In our hopeful quest to seek oneness, we oftentimes exclude the struggle of the person sitting right next to us, inadvertently making life more difficult for them. Tara Brach writes, “To understand how we create separation is so integral to waking up; it is a lens that is part of every subject we touch on.” This experiential program will look at spiritual bypassing, particularly as it relates to racism. What work is yours to do?
