8 month Massage Spring Day class begins
The Virginia Board of Nursing oversees licensing of massage therapists in Virginia. Listed below are some of their requirements: Minimum of 500 hours of training with a SCHEV approved provider Pass a Commonwealth of VA Board Licensing Exam for massage therapists Fingerprinting for a criminal background check For massage therapy licensure the Virginia Board of Nursing requires fingerprinting for a criminal background check. The Lotus School offers a full range of esthetics and massage therapy training ranging from medically oriented massage and advanced skin care treatments to spa and relaxation massage and facials. Lotus School of Integrated Professions offers a 600-hour massage therapy program in an 8 month day class and an 11 month night class. Career advising for massage therapy students is offered on an individual basis.
