Rabbi Rami Shapiro’s Keynote Speech: Becoming a Hidden Saint

Rabbi Rami will examine this theme with us of continuing the innerwork so we can show up for our communities and indeed the world when we need to the most - a world that is in a time of suffering and change.

"Sixteen hundred years ago the rabbinic sage Abaye revealed a teaching kept secret for centuries: at any given moment there are thirty-six people acting as a blessing to all the families of the earth (Gen. 12:3) and it is because of them that humanity survives. You can become one of them.” -Rabbi Rami Shapiro We've all felt it this year - the tension in our bodies, the aching in our hearts, the disconnection from other human beings - sometimes physically, sometimes emotionally. 2020 has been a year of great suffering and uncertainty but also a time to regroup, rebuild and reflect on how we want to show up in the world. We all felt the polarity of deep inner work as we spent time isolated from society protecting ourselves and each other from virus, and the contrast of much energy being focused on the outer work of public protests, activism and justice. We were pulled deep into our souls to ask hard questions and we were spurred to action in our communities.

Zoom links will also be sent out 1-2 days prior to the event.
