We currently have 13 locations around the Richmond area that are stocked, cleaned, and maintained by the community - for the community. With an eye for cultivating sustainable partnerships with other mutual aids in the area, two of our latest installations include out front of MAD RVA's Meadowbridge Community Market in Northside, and next to the free farmstand at Fonticello Food Forest located in Southside. We are also very excited to strengthen our relationship with longstanding community group, Food Not Bombs, in sharing a new space affectionately dubbed "Matchbox Mutual Aid". There, we hope to be able to better handle large/time sensitive food distributions, as well as have space to do group meal prep, which aligns with our zero-food-waste goals and better supports our neighbors without the ability or means to cook. We eventually hope to be able to handle general donation drop-offs, as well as host community events - fingers crossed for a fall/winter move-in!   

We couldn't do any of this without support from our friends and neighbors throughout the Richmond community.  We especially want to shout out to our hardworking admin and liaison teams, our banging network of volunteers, our amazing hosts, and our awesome donation partners! BUT, we are always looking to connect with more folks in the community. Whether it's setting up a food pantry supply drive at your school, connecting your business to make an in-kind donation, or even to making home cooked meals to share, RVA Community Fridges wants to work with YOU!
