Barefoot Bucha Now Certified Organic

Barefoot Bucha became the first kombucha company in the region to be Certified Organic. It is also one of the few Virginia products to receive the organic designation from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Kombucha is a fermented tea that is made using a mother culture. It contains probiotics, active enzymes and amino acids, and is one of the fastest growing beverages in the health food sector. Barefoot Bucha is a family-owned kombucha company that has been sustainably making and distributing delicious kombucha to grocers, bars and restaurants since 2010.

Barefoot Bucha is brewed in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Nelson County and is available exclusively on draft into refillable bottles to eliminate bottle and packaging waste. To further minimize their carbon footprint, Barefoot Bucha also takes standard greening measures such as reducing energy consumption, partnering with local delivery companies to minimize the impact of distribution and composting their brewery waste.
