Senior Mornings Let Creativity Bloom

The Science Museum of Virginia, inspired by the pollinator plants featured in The Green, will host senior guests 60 and up to make take-home ornaments using dried flowers as holiday decorations at 8:30 a.m., December 17. Doors open at 8 a.m. All supplies are provided, along with complimentary coffee.

While making their creations, guests will hear from the Science Museum’s horticulturist about ecosystems and biodiversity, along with the health and environmental benefits of campus greening projects.

This program is designed to engage seniors by connecting them to each other, helping exercise their creativity, encouraging them to discover science all around them and deepening their appreciation of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Senior Mornings programming does not include admission to the Science Museum.
