INCANTO: An Oasis of Lyrical Sculpture
A journey of self-discovery and connection at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is ignited with elevated events this season! Don’t miss the world premiere of Burning Man Artist Kate Raudenbush’s Incanto: An Oasis of Lyrical Sculpture through October 29, 2023. Five intricately designed, allegorical sculptures accompanied by poetry invite a journey of self-discovery and connection with others and the natural world. With heights reaching up to seventeen feet, they serve as portals to other worlds of thought, meaning, and healing.
In alignment with the Incanto exhibit, Gallery 5 presents a series of evening events, from music and art, to wellness and fire dancing. Community collaborators include WRIR radio, Art 180, Richmond Young Writers, Classical Revolution RVA, PLF, The Art of Us Studios. Second Friday of each month in May-September, starting at 6 p.m.
April 29-October 29, 2023; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Evening hours: dramatically lit from within, the Incanto sculptures offer multi-sensory experiences inviting further exploration at night. May 3-Oct. 28, 2023; Wednesdays through Saturdays; open until 9 p.m. Included with Garden admission.
The nonprofit Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden’s mission is connecting people through plants to improve communities. To learn more, visit lewisginter.org.
