Sunrise Science
Inaugural Sunrise Science Event An Ocean Apart Thursday, November 2 at 8 a.m. A look at the interconnectedness of the health of our oceans and daily lives, livelihoods, and lifestyles, presented by Dr. Rick Spinrad, NOAA Administrator.
Have you ever stopped to think about how much of your life is fueled by science? From the food we eat and the movies we watch, to the technology that keeps us safe and the policy decisions that govern our country, it’s hard to find something that isn’t rooted in science. Sunrise Science is a new speaker series where people with really big (and cool) jobs will pour out a little of their expertise, experience and insight into the ways our world is shaped by science. Each event begins at 8 a.m. and will conclude by 9 a.m. so you can continue on with your day, but with a little extra science to fill your cup of knowledge! Sunrise Science events are free, but registration is required.
