Atkins Acres is a picturesque 109-acre parcel of land that was gifted in 2011 to Chesterfield County for the creation of a new park. The hike will consist of an approximately 2 to 3 mile amble through and around the property. There are no specific trails so participants must be very comfortable on uneven terrain in flat and hilly woods. Participants should wear comfortable, sturdy hiking shoes or boots and be prepared to cross a slow moving steam. To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment, registration is limited to 12 attendees.
