Street Yoga Brings Core Trauma-Informed Teacher Training to Richmond

Street Yoga will offer its Core Trauma-Informed Teacher Training from April 4 to 6 at Project Yoga Richmond (PYR). The training offers an inspiring and heartfelt introduction to the field of service yoga for youth experiencing life challenges. The densely packed 14-hour training focuses on a wide-variety of practical, hands-on skills needed to serve youth with yoga and meditation in the real world. Areas for exploration and practice include communicating effectively, maintaining safety in the classroom, promoting healthy boundaries, choosing postures and exercises, handling challenging behaviors and situations and collaborating with agencies.

Street Yoga is a nonprofit organization that bases its programs on solid evidence that yoga helps with physical well-being, depression, anxiety, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Project Yoga Richmond is honored to offer this valuable experience to teachers and those in other helping professions that wish to incorporate a mind/body focus.
