Nitya Griffith

Since 2005, Nitya Griffith has been sharing yoga with children throughout the Richmond community and is considered a master at teaching children’s yoga. She has developed a unique approach using imaginative yoga adventures with breathing, fun yoga poses, mindfulness meditation and original songs. Nitya also runs an annual summer camp and women’s retreat. Furthermore, Nitya has released the Yoga With Nitya DVD, A Child’s Journey Into Yoga, and just this summer, the Yoga With Nitya Cookbook; Seasonal, Local, Vegetarian Recipes for a Healthy Family.

INTEGRAL YOGA CENTER OF RICHMOND (IYCoR)

Integral Yoga Center Nora PozziNora Vimala Pozzi, IYCoR’s director and yoga therapist, has been teaching since 1992. She opened one of the first yoga centers in Richmond in 2000 and now has a new space in the Museum District where Integral Yoga classes are offered for all levels and conditions in a safe, meditative setting. Students are empowered to start where they are and progress at their own pace through postures, breath and relaxation. Since 1999, Pozzi has been offering a 200-hour yoga teacher training, following Yogaville’s Integral Yoga Teacher Training program.

Yoga SourceFounded in 1998, Yoga Source moved into the Cary Court Shopping Center in 2000 and has grown to now include three studio spaces. Yoga Source offers a large variety of yoga styles, including Iyengar, Vinyasa flow and Yogaworks flow, as well as yogabarre classes, meditation, monthly events for students of all abilities and a seven-month teachers’ training program.
