New Book on Eating Disorders

Catherine Brown, a freelance writer and editor, and corporate storyteller Christina Tinker are the co-editors of a new book, Hope for Recovery: Stories of Healing from Eating Disorders. This book of essays about eating disorders inspires hope for recovery and supports the mission of eating disorder awareness and recovery organizations.

Thirty million people suffer from eating disorders in America, and every 62 minutes a person dies as a direct consequence. The authors are among the 60 percent of people that have recovered from eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating. The book includes informative sections with insights from mental health professionals on topics such as how families can help loved ones affected by eating disorders and males with eating disorders.

A portion of the proceeds of Hope for Recovery: Stories of Healing from Eating Disorders will be donated to local and national eating disorder organizations.

The book is available on Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com and at bit.ly/hope4BN.
